Billy Talent - Try Honestly

I like this video because I like to see videos where the band is playing and not some fancy special effects where you see some story that doesn’t make sense. This was one of the bands first singles and they needed to show what the band is about so you can see it is full of energy and that they love playing their music.

Devildriver - I could care less

This music video is mostly just the band playing but there is a few clips every now and again of what looks like the lead singer making a deal with the devil. I didn’t think the music video was great but it still gave what people like which is seeing the band playing and some kind of fantasy.

The White Stripes - Fell in love with a girl

I think the music video for this song is great because I know how long it would have taken to create something like this using stop-motion animation with Lego. The video is done really well and I think it fits the genre of the music because it’s quite raw and his voice is a bit strange, like the video.

The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony

I like the song but I’m not sure about the video because it didn’t make much sense because he’s walking down the street bumping into everyone he walks into but I think this just means he doesn’t care what happens and is just walking to his song. I like the way it sticks to the same shots quite a lot because the song is really calm and mellow, so it fits the edit.

Slipknot - Duality

I think this video does its job spectacularly because this song is full of energy and you see hundreds of Slipknot fans at an abandoned house trashing things around slipknot playing and going crazy which is what slipknot wants, if you go to one of their gigs. I think the fast paced content and the abundance of jump cuts fits well to the type of music is playing.
